IMO, Lenovo hasn't communicated well with Windows to ensure compatibility with these updates. That was another headache, luckily that one only took an hour or two to fix. My RealTek audio drivers also got deleted at the same time. My suggestion, try using drivers from other Lenovo laptops if yours doesn't have it available on the site. I knew that wasn't true because it worked fine in BIOS. It was a huge pain in the ass and tech support just kept telling me that I needed to send in my 1 day old laptop for repairs because they said the touchpad was probably broken. After trying all 3 of those, it turned out that the Elan touchpad driver worked. When 8 unzipped the folder, it had drivers for Synaptic, Elan, and Alps touchpads. I ended up finding a driver folder on lenovo's website from another 2019 laptop. After literally around 10 hrs of trying to fix it, I got one to work. I got it fixed, Because Lenovo didn't want to disclose the touchpad brand or software (even after asking multiple tech support personnel) I downloaded a shit ton of random touchpad drivers from sources around the web and just started trying things. Unfortunately, it wasn't listed that way on my device. Manually install driver updates when you know they're stable and if you want to upgrade windows, create a restore point right before. I would suggest delaying all Windows updates and NOT using an automatic driver updater. Because Lenovo didn't want to disclose the touchpad brand or software (even after asking multiple tech support personnel) I downloaded a shit ton of random touchpad drivers from sources around the web and just started trying things. Got it fixed, but you're not going to like it.
